This was a camera test the GoPro HERO8 Black Camera.

Some of the first shots in stronger (brighter) light also tested the PolarPro Shutter Collection ND8 filter.

As you can see, unless the light levels are low, if you want the desirable blurred propellers you see in this video, you must use neutral density (ND) filters, and, be sure to set your shutter (not frame rate) low enough to ensure that smooth motion.

GoPro HERO 8 Camera Settings:

  • This was shot in 4K 60P with a shutter speed of 1/120th
  • ISO was limited to 100/400 max
  • Lens was wide
  • Stabilization on for the GoPro but zero post stabilization
  • Color was also set to GoPro with sharpening set to low
  • The camera was mounted on the hood of a car with a Ram Mounts suction cup mount
